Spotlight: Team Avolition: Professional Minecraft Griefers

Griefing is the act of purposefully sabotaging the experience of any multi-player game. From people blocking exits and entrances in MMO's to setting traps in spawn locations in FPS's, griefers have come a long way from their humble roots and can you can expect to find them in any major game with an online multi-player component. Minecraft is no different, and in this game griefing has become almost an art form that is, at it's highest level, as complex as the act of building the many structures featured in this blog. And at it's lowest level, griefing is just a lot of random pointless destruction.

Team Avolition, a group of professional griefers, can be considered both. Here is just one of their many "adventures" in griefing.

    Team Avo tried to destroy one of my best works. They got banned from the server. Now I don't have to worry about them anymore. No icecream for team Avo.

    You know what? While regular minecrafters spend online time creating things, chatting, and doing something at least virtually worthwhile, griefers spend online time getting people ticked off and destroying things. Griefers need anger management classes. And then griefers spend time being bored, downloading unban software. But regular players spend that time having fun.

    Well, tell you what... I used to loath griefers. I went from server to server trying to be good. I got banned for no reason on all the servers I went on. So fuck being good, I'm with the Avolition all the way. Ice Cream for all you!

    There is this one server that has been a real ass hole to me and i want you guys to do me a big favor and go there and grief the shit out of every thing the Serve is called:

    Bhsminecraft.com Just put that in the ip box and grief away.
    i will tell you about there grief detection if u break one block such as wood and then more wood it does not show up it only shows that u broke that one block of wood so i think you kinda get the idea (Break one block break the same block as the one u broke before). Good Hunting!

    In one of their videos i saw someone saying "An honor to be griefed by AVO" In my opinion they are just great. But most servers they grief, they have a reason for, some servers have a sign saying "COME AT US AVO YOU BITCHES!!!", it is only understandable to see these server griefed. They also grief because they are against MCbans.
